We clean carpets in your home, not in a plant
We clean carpets on site, at your address. Nothing is collected, transported or returned: we are not a carpet cleaning plant or a laundry. That matters most with fitted carpets, which cannot be lifted and taken away at all, so on-site extraction is the only practical option.
Cleaning one carpet covering a whole room takes 20 to 30 minutes, and every normally accessible carpeted area in a 3-room flat takes roughly 60 minutes. Carpets dry 2 to 4 hours afterwards. Good ventilation, such as an open window or balcony door, speeds that up.
Extraction cleaning, washing or a cleaning plant?
Extraction cleaning drives a cleaning solution into the pile and immediately draws it back out along with the dirt, in your home, with no transport involved.
Washing a rug means running a loose rug through a large industrial machine, which only works for small, washable pieces and takes days. A cleaning plant is a facility you deliver a carpet to and collect later.
For a fitted carpet neither option exists, and for most loose rugs on-site extraction is faster and less disruptive. If a piece genuinely needs washing rather than extraction, we will tell you rather than take the job.
Which carpets we clean and which we do not
We clean carpets with a short and medium pile, both fitted and loose. That covers the great majority of carpets in Bratislava flats and houses.
We do not clean long-pile (shaggy) carpets. A long pile cannot be cleaned to depth by extraction and moisture is hard to draw back out of it, so we could promise you neither a good result nor a sensible drying time. We would rather say that up front than arrive and leave without doing the job.
Wool carpets and natural fibres such as jute, sisal and viscose are not a price list item and are assessed individually from a photo. Wool is a protein fibre sensitive to alkaline conditions, heat and soaking, and the manufacturer of Kärcher CarpetPro RM 760 Classic does not list wool among the suitable materials. Send us a photo and the care label, and we will tell you straight whether we can take it on.
Stains, pets and what is realistic
With pet urine the result depends on whether it only reached the pile or soaked into the backing and the floor beneath. For heavy or repeated soiling we do not promise complete removal without assessing it on site. Ordinary extraction cleaning is not verified disinfection and does not guarantee that bacteria or viruses are destroyed.
- Everyday stains: coffee, wine, tea, food and grease.
- Pet odours and urine can often be reduced or removed.
- Dust, grit and part of the allergens trapped deep in the pile.
- Greying and flattened, worn-looking traffic lanes.
The detergent we use on carpets
We clean carpets with Kärcher CarpetPro RM 760 Classic from the Kärcher CarpetPro range. The manufacturer describes it as an effective deep cleaner for extraction cleaning of textile floor coverings and upholstery, which releases heavy oils, grease and mineral dirt, is gentle on materials, contains no bleaching agents, works across all temperature ranges and improves the hygiene of the cleaned area. Its pH value is 8 in the concentrate.
We dilute and apply the concentrate ourselves, test the material in a less visible spot first, never soak the carpet, rinse the area with clean water and extract the solution together with the dirt. The manufacturer makes no claims about removing dust mites, allergens, bacteria or viruses, and none about disinfection, so we do not make them either.
The price of carpet cleaning
The minimum call-out price is €40. It is the lower limit of the price, not a surcharge on top of it.
Cleaning a fitted carpet in place starts from €2.50 per m² and a loose rug from €3 per m². Because of the minimum, an area smaller than roughly 16 m² is charged at €40, so it pays to combine several rooms, or a carpet together with a sofa or mattress, in one visit.
